Laker Sports Report Friday, November 17th

Last night the Laker Middle school boys basketball hosted Hart county for 7th and 8th grade games.
Despite Owen Loy putting up his season high 11 points, the 7th grade Lakers lost to Hart Co. 56-37.  Loy shot well from the field, making 60% of shots attempted and was 3 for 4 behind the 3 point line.  Also contributing for the Lakers, was Clay Pippins 8 points and 10 rebounds, Blake Bolin had 7 points and 5 rebounds and Collin Burton added 6 points and 5 rebounds.

The 8th grade Lakers was lead by Nathan Lawson also scoring his season high points game with 23 to help his team to a 52-37 victory over Hart Co.  Clay Ferguson had his 4th double double of the season, scoring 19 points with 14 rebounds, Gavin Gossage added 7 points and 5 rebounds and Gage Hicks had 3 points and 3 rebounds.
The Lakers go out of town next week on Monday to Cumberland Co and Tuesday they travel to Adair for triple header games both nights before the Thanksgiving break.

Today at 4:00 pm the Laker bowling team will be hosting the Dragons of Green County at Laker Lanes for the first home game of the season. Good luck to the Laker bowling team.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to come out and meet the 2017-18 Laker boys and Lady Laker basketball teams tonight.
