Lady Laker Girls defeated Greenwood Tuesday night by score of 59-33

Shaya Carman has 19 points and 14 rebounds

Jaylen Elmore has 13 points and 6 rebounds

Addison Loy had 11 points and 5 assists.

Next game tonight vs. Glasgow at 6:00. Boys at 7:30

 

 

The Laker middle school boys hosted Green Co last evening for their Homecoming ceremonies and won all three games to a packed crowd at Laker gym.
The 6th grade boys repaid Green last night as they beat the undefeated team in OVERTIME by a score of 39-33 bringing their record to 13 wins and 1 loss which was against Green Co earlier in the season. Scoring for the Lakers was Owen Loy with 13 points and 6 steals, Collin Burton had 12 points and 4 rebounds, Tate Riggins added 6 points and 8 rebounds and Mayes Gosser had 6 points and 2 steals.
The 7th grade Lakers also won by a final score of 36-15 over Green Co. The 7th grade team was led by Collin Burton with 13 points and 6 rebounds, Clay Pippen had 9 points, 7 rebounds & 3 steals, Lucas Mcfall added 6 points and 3 steals, and Blake Bolin and Brandon Leach both had 4 points and 8 rebounds.
Before the Laker 8th grade game the school had their annual middle school Homecoming Crowning. The young ladies were nominated and voted on by students and the 2017-18 RCMS Homecoming Queen Crown was won by Miss Emery Kate Robertson. Daughter of Sherry Selby and Jamie Robertson.
The 8th grade team did not disappoint and had an exciting win as they defeated the Dragons by a final score of 55-47 led by Nathan Lawson’s 3 point shooting, Nathan had 20 points and 7 rebounds for the game. Clay Ferguson had another double double scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds with 4 huge blocks that got the crowd cheering. Also scoring was Gavin Gossage and Gage Hicks both adding 5 points and 4 rebounds in the big homecoming victory
Congratulations to all 3 Laker teams in a clean sweep against Green Co on a crowded homecoming evening at Laker Middle School Gym.
