Two persons were seriously injured in a one vehicle crash on Ky. 1545 just before 5:00 p.m. Thursday.
Russell County Sheriff’s Deputy Nick Bertram told WJRS NEWS that Sandra Hill, age 45, of Russell Springs lost control of her 2005 Chevrolet Malibu when she swerved to miss a deer, resulting in the car leaving the roadway and striking a tree.
Hill was airlifted from the scene and flown to the U.K. Medical Center for treatment of a broken leg and other injuries.
According to Deputy Bertram, a passenger, 50 year old Curtis Hendricks, also of Russell Springs, was transported by ambulance to the Russell County Hospital and was also later flown to the U.K. Medical Center for further treatment.
The wreck occured at 4:53 p.m. about 1 1/2 miles north of Ky. 80.
