A Russell County Man Was Found Guilty In Russell Circuit Court Thursday Of Manufacturing Methamphetamine

47 year old Neil Allen Blankenship of Russell Springs, was found guilty by a Russell Circuit Jury, following two days of testimony.
Blankenship was indicted for manufacturing meth at his home located near Bernard Ridge, in the summer of 2014.
The jury deliberated for just over an hour before returning the guilty verdict, before Circuit Court Judge Vernon Miniard, Jr.
The jury recommended a 10 year prison sentence for Blankenship… for the crime he could have been sentenced up to 20 years, according to sentencing guidlines.
Blankenship, who had been out on bond, was taken into custody following the trial.
Formal sentencing is set for March 28th.
