A Huge Announcement Came During Last Night’s Russell Springs City Council Meeting that will Bring New Businesses to the Community

Jinal Patel, an Indiana business man came before the city leaders last night to announce his purchase of property that would house a franchise hotel, restaurant, and truck stop just off of the Cumberland Parkway heading south.

WJRS News spoke to Patel about the exciting news for the city.

Patel told council members that the business en-devour would bring 70 plus jobs to the area for the hotel and restaurant, with even more employees needed as other franchise businesses were built on the location.

Also during last nights City Council meeting after some discussion about Sunday alcohol sales. The council decided to have the ordinance, which would allow those to occur to be brought back up before the council and debated again at the next meeting.

Also the council approved the hiring of an additional police officer for the city last night.
