In the first quarter of this year, the fire department responded to 6 structure fires, 2 grass fires, and 2 vehicle fires.
During the first quarter, the fire department worked 4 injury accidents and responded to 13 road cleanup and traffic control calls.
The fire department assisted with 19 helicopter landing zones for the hospital, answered 10 service calls, and provided 3 fire inspections.
The fire department responded to 12 EMS assist calls in the first quarter as well.
In total, to begin the year, the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department has had 88 total runs.
