Two persons were injured and two drivers were arrested for alleged DUI following a two vehicle collision Tuesday night west of Jamestown.
According to a report filed by State Trooper Adam Likins, a 2002 Chevy car being driven by Tiffany Cox, 24, of Richmond, VA crossed the center line on Ky. 92 striking a 2006 Chevy pickup being driven by Daniel Johnson, 36, of Jamestown. After the initial collision Cox’s car left the roadway and traveled over an embankment and Johnson’s truck left the road and struck a ditch.
Cox and a passenger in her car, 26 year old Kayla Whittaker of Ferguson, were transported by ambulance to the Russell County Hospital where both were treated and later released.
Trooper Likins’ report says both Cox and Johnson were arrested for DUI. Cox was taken into custody at the hospital. Johnson was taken into custody at his residence on Carnes Lane in Jamestown. He was also charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Both were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
That incident occurred around 11:30 last night about two miles west of Jamestown.
