Seven persons were indicted by a Russell County Grand Jury on Monday, with the names and charges in six cases sealed upon a request by Commonwealth’s Attorney Matthew Leveridge.
The only indictment made available for reporting and to the public was filed against Michael York, age 39, of Jamestown, who is charged with 9 counts of Wanton Endangerment and a single count of Disorderly Conduct.
WJRS NEWS will report the names of the individuals charged in the “sealed indictments” and the offenses each are accused of once that information is released by the arresting agency, the prosecutor’s office or the court.
WJRS NEWS reminds you that an indictment is a legal accusation and “does not” imply guilt. An indictment means the Grand Jury found “probable cause” for the charges and further court action is necessary in these matters.
