Seven persons were treated at the Russell County Hospital following a three vehicle, rear-end collision Friday afternoon in Russell Springs.
RSPD Officer Nathan Bradshaw told WJRS NEWS the wreck occurred just before 3:00 p.m. when a 1999 Kia, driven by 32 year old Nathan Stargel of Russell Springs, struck from behind a 2000 model Oldsmobile SUV being driven by 38 year old Jodi McQueary, also of Russell Springs. Officer Bradshaw said McQueary was stopped in traffic in the northbound lane of U.S. 127 at the Cumberland Parkway overpass when her vehicle was hit. The impact knocked McQueary’s vehicle forward and into a 2005 Mazda SUV driven by 61 year old David Fisher of Jamestown.
Stargel was traveling alone. McQueary had two passengers in her vehicle: Starlene Cain, 25, of Windsor and Natalie Dillsader, 7, of Russell Springs. Fisher’s wife, Terri, was with him.
All seven persons involved were taken to the Emergency Room at the Russell County Hospital for treatment of various injuries and observation.
