Three local women escaped a one car accident Saturday night without serious injuries. KSP Trooper Adam Likins’ report says the wreck occurred at 10:30 p.m. about 6 miles south of Columbia on Ky. 55 when Leah Franklin, age 22, of Russell Springs lost control of her 2006 Mitsubishi car resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway and traveling over an embankment.
Franklin had two passengers with her — 22 year old Nikki McClanahan of Russell Springs and 16 year old Jennifer Roy of Jamestown.
Franklin and Roy were taken to the Russell County Hospital where they were treated and later released. McClanahan was not injured according to the police report.
