Two Charged With Burglary

Three persons have been arrested by the Russell County Sheriff’s Department following an investigation into a residential burglary Wednesday on the outskirts of Jamestown.

Deputy Sheriff Clete McAninch told WJRS NEWS the residence of Mark & Kim Weston on McKinney Lane was broken into sometime Wednesday while the Weston’s were at work.

The ensuing investigation led to the arrests Thursday evening of Nicholas Fields, age 32, of Russell Springs and Jack Lusk, age 25, of Jamestown.  Both men were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center, charged with 2nd Degree Burglary.  Deputy McAninch says it appears all items stolen have been recovered.

Also arrested while authorities were seeking those two was 34 year old Angela Shelton of Russell Springs.  Shelton is charged with Prescription Controlled Substance Not In Original Container and she is also wanted by authorities in Ohio, according to Deputy McAninch.

Assisting in the investigation and with the arrests were Deputies Dustin Bunch and Evan Burton and Lt. Tony King of the Jamestown Police Department.
