Dr. Hugh R. Smith, age 89, of 4746 E. Hwy. 80, Russell Springs, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was a retired dentist and was a veteran of both the United States Army and Air Force. He is survived by:

- Joel R. Smith of Russell Springs
- Dr. Henry S. Smith of Russell Springs
- Christopher L. Smith of Russell Springs
- Jeffery C. Smith of Bowling Green
- Kendall Smith of Grove City, OH
One Sister
- Mary Ella Conner of Louisville
Other Survivors
- 14 grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church with burial in the Smith Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call for visitation after 5:00 p.m. Friday at the church. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of memorial contributions to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund. H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown is in charge of arrangements.
