Rep. Hoover Named MVP by Kentucky Chamber

Rep Hoover KY ChamberHouse Republican Floor Leader Jeff Hoover, R-Jamestown, has been awarded the First Annual Chamber MVP Award by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.  Hoover accepted the award from Chamber President and CEO Dave Adkisson during last week’s annual Chamber Dinner in Lexington.

“Our business community, both small and large business, is the backbone of Kentucky’s economy,” said Rep. Hoover in accepting the award. “It is essential that we in government do what we can to allow business to grow and develop, which in turn allows them to create jobs and grow our economy. I thank the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and its members for presenting me with this award.”

Rep. Hoover was selected by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce for this award based on his work to support Kentucky’s business community during the 2012 Regular Session. In addition to tracking the progress of bills related to business in the Commonwealth and how members voted, the Chamber also based their criteria on how a member supported key issues considered by the Chamber and its members as critical to the growth of the state’s business climate.

Rep. Hoover was one of 10 legislators presented with the Chamber MVP Award, which is a commemorative baseball bat created by Kentucky-based Louisville Slugger.
