Third Man Arrested In Connection With Pyles Murder At Tarter Gate Company In Late September

A third person has now been charged in connection with the murder of Wendell “Gleason” Pyles, who was shot and killed the night of September 26th while working at Tarter Gate Company in Dunnville.  The 50 year old Columbia man was shot several times.

The latest arrest came Tuesday morning when State Police Detectives served a Casey County Grand Jury indictment warrant on 53 year old Anthony Byrd of Dunnville.  Byrd is charged with “Facilitation To Commit Murder” and with “Hindering Prosecution”.

On October 3rd, KSP Detectives arrested David Salyers, age 59, of Elk Horn in Taylor County.  Salyers was charged with “Complicity to Commit Murder”.

Then on October 9th, police arrested William “Billy” Rigdon of Marion County….charging him with Murder.

Investigators anticipate more arrests will be made as their investigation continues.
