Two Women Flown To UK Hospital Following One Vehicle, Rollover Wreck On Ky. 55 North

A one vehicle wreck just before 9:00 a.m. Friday resulted in two Russell County women being flown to the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. The accident occurred 9 miles south of Russell Springs on Ky. 55. KSP Trooper Mike Woodrum told WJRS NEWS that Jessica Day, 29, of Russell Springs was operating a 2001 KIA Sportage traveling north when she lost control of the vehicle which then left the roadway, struck a culvert and then overturned multiple times. Heather Stephens, 34, of Russell Springs was a passenger in the vehicle. Both women were air-lifted to the U.K. Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
