In local city council races, all six incumbent members of the Russell Springs City Council have been re-elected for another two year term. Of the six incumbents, Eddie Thomas was the top vote getter at 668.
In Jamestown, four incumbents will continue serving on the City Council and will be joined by two newcomers. Returning to the Jamestown City Council will be Larry Joe Murray, Marcelene Taylor, Harold “Frog” Miller and Terry Robertson. Murray was the top vote getter with 437. David Lawless was the only incumbent not re-elected and long-time Councilman George Ralph Garr did not seek re-election. Joining the City Council in January will be Barry Coffey and Jenny Chapman.
