For the first time in 29 years the Russell County Mighty Laker football team finishes the regular season undefeated at 10-0. Friday was Senior Night as Russell County went up against rival Adair County. The Lakers got off to a hot start scoring 45 points in the first quarter. The Lakers would go on to defeat the Indians 66-14.

RB Nick Britt (#28) led the Lakers offensively with 7 carries for 94 yards and 4 touchdowns. Defensively, OLB Evan Fletcher (#20) had 2 tackles and 1 interception for a touchdown. LB Mason Short (#34) also had 2 tackles.
Russell County will begin class 4-A playoff action next Friday, Nov. 2nd at home against the Marion County Knights.
