Coming off a bye week the Russell County Lakers traveled to Manchester to face the Clay County Tigers. The Lakers were firing on all cylinders scoring 29 points in the first quarter. Leading the way offensively for the Lakers was WR Blake Ellis (#3) with four receptions for 53 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ellis also had one rushing touchdown, and one touchdown off a punt return. Defensively, the Lakers were led by DT Matt Adams (#68) and LB Lucas Whittle (#16) with 5 tackles each. Adams also recorded one sack. The Lakers will be back on the road next week, facing off against the Knox County Panthers.
