Four Russell Springs city employees have been placed on paid, investigative leave amid allegations of misconduct.
WJRS NEWS talked with City Attorney Matt DeHart who confirmed the employees placed on investigative leave Thursday include City Clerk Wendy Burton, Deputy Clerk Sharon Hill, Safety Director Richard Roy and park employee Mark McClure.
City Attorney DeHart said the allegations involve “work release inmates” from the Russell County Detention Center assigned to the City of Russell Springs.
The allegations are being investigated by officials with the state department of corrections and state police detectives.
Russell County Jailer Bobby Dunbar told WJRS NEWS he has suspended “all work release programs” until the investigation is complete.
