Lady Lakers Win Region Golf Tourney

The Russell County Lady Lakers won the Region 9 championship Monday. This is the sixteenth consecutive year the Lady Lakers will be playing in the State Tournament. The Lady Lakers were led by Kenna Richardson who shot 77 and placed 3rd as an individual. Brianne Coe shot 79 and finished in 4th place as an individual. Also scoring for the Lady Lakers were Lizzie Loy 88, Lesley Roy 90, and Hailey Aaron 100. The State Tournament will begin Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Bowling Green Country Club.
