Laker, Lady Laker Golf Results From Saturday

In high school golf over the weekend….the Lady Lakers played in the Joy of Golf tournament on Saturday in Anderson County, finishing 5^th overall.  Individual scoring for the Lady Lakers was led by Brianne Coe with a 73 and a 4^th place finish; Kenna Richardson shot 82, Hailey Aaron 94, Lizzie Loy 96 and Leslie Roy 98.  The Lady Lakers will host the Kentucky Invitational Tournament this Saturday, August 25th at Lakewood Country Club playing against 19 of the best teams from across the state.

In boys high school golf….Russell County finished 19^th out of 22 teams Saturday at the Tates Creek Commodore Classic in Lexington.  The Lakers had a team total 364.  Nick Coe led the way for the Lakers with 84, tieing for 48^th individually out of 115 golfers.  Brett Kimbler shot 86, tieing for 59th, Logan Shearer shot a 93 and Justin Womack 101.  The Laker golf team will compete again on Tuesday, August 21st against Casey County in Liberty.
