Accident Near Russell-Adair Line Injures Woman

An Adair County woman was injured in a single vehicle wreck Thursday morning in southern Russell County.
RCSO Deputy Sheriff Clete McAninch told WJRS NEWS that Susan Daniels, 54, of the Melson Ridge community lost control of her Oldsmobile car on Melson Ridge Road, resulting in the car leaving the roadway, striking a culvert, then coming to rest against a tree.
Daniels was transported from the scene by the Russell County EMS to the Russell County Hospital for treatment of head and other injuries.
That incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. near the Russell-Adair county line.
