Mitchell “Mickey” Carter, age 62, of Russell Springs, died Tuesday evening, February 14, 2012 at his residence. He is survived by:

- Lucas Carter of Oklahoma
- Mattie Wells of Monticello
- Coby Carter of Richmond
Five Sisters
- Bonita Carter McWhorter, Brenda Carter, Valeta Carter and Donna Carter, all of Russell Springs
- Mary Carter of Shepherdsville
Three Brothers
- Morris Carter and Timothy Carter, both of Russell Springs
- William Carter of New York
Other Survivors
- 7 grandchildren
- 1 great-grandchild
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Mill Springs National Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call for visitation after 5:00 p.m. Monday at the Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs.
