Alta Smith, age 96, of 195 Patty Ridge Road, Russell Springs, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Fairoaks Nursing Home in Jamestown. She is survived by:
Two Sons
- Rabon Smith of Russell Springs
- Phillip Smith of Stanford
Two Daughters
- Alice Anderson of Port Huron, MI
- Janice Zimmerman of Muncie, IN
Two Sisters
- Ester Greene of Georgia
- Elizabeth Taylor of Versailles
Other Survivors
- 4 grandchildren
- 6 great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church with burial in the Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call for visitation after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of memorial contributions to the Friendship Church Building Fund or to the Friendship Church Cemetery Fund.
