Lady Lakers on Road Monday at McCreary Central; Boys Go To Somerset Tuesday

The Russell County Lady Lakers and Lakers get their second week of the young high school basketball kicked off Monday night when the girls travel to Whitley City to take on McCreary Central. The girls split a couple of season opening games over the weekend at Laker gym, defeating Knox Central on Friday night before losing to Garrard County by one point on Saturday. Tuesday night, the Laker boys, with a record of 2-0, will go on the road to Somerset to take on the Briar Jumpers. Tomorrow night’s Laker-Somerset game can be heard on Laker Country, 104.9 fm, WJRS with Jeff Hoover and Derek Aaron. Tip-off is scheduled for around 6:30 p.m.
