CARNIVAL AND TALENT CLASSIC AT RC FAIR

The Russell County Jaycee’s Fair had a busy Monday evening with the opening of the carnival, the Coca-Cola Talent Classic, as well as the truck pull.  Families and friends enjoyed the Belle City Carnival last evening with rides, games and fellowship in the midway.

The results for the Russell County Fair Truck Pull, Local Class, are as follows:  first place, Josh Campbell of Jamestown; second place, Dustin Begley of Campbellsville; third place, Zachary Rogers of Russell Springs.

The Coca-Cola Talent Classic had numerous contestants, with three winners from each class.  Those who placed received a cash prize, and will compete in the Kentucky State Fair this August.  First place winners received a prize of $75.00, second place received $50.00, and contestants placing third received $25.00.  The winners for the Coca-Cola Talent Classic, by category, are as follows:

  • Ages 12 & Under:  first place, MaKenna Meeks; second place, Jera Dunbar; third place, Dorsey Franklin.
  • Ages 13 to 21:  first place, Daley Sapp; second place, Matthew Brown; third place, Sydney Hurst.
  • Ages 22 & Up:  first place, Fletcher Bell; second place, Barb Harford; third place, Rebecca Dunlap
