A man suspected of breaking into several homes in Russell and Casey counties on Thursday has been arrested. Russell County Sheriff Larry Bennett told WJRS NEWS that 24 year old Patrick Callinan was taken into custody late Friday night after a brief stand-off with Lexington Police. Callinan was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center on a probation violation warrant. According to Sheriff Bennett, Callinan will soon be charged with several residential burglaries in Russell and Casey counties including breaking into the home of Tommy & Lisa Tarter near the Russell-Casey county line on U.S. 127. Callinan was exiting the Tarter home moments after Tommy Tarter pulled into his driveway Thursday afternoon according to the Sheriff. Deputies from both counties and State Troopers searched for Callinan extensively for several hours Thursday evening in the Decatur and Windsor communities. Information received during the Sheriff’s Department’s investigation led to Callinan’s location late Friday night.
