Baseball Wins, Softball Loses to Start Week

In local sports action Monday, the Russell County Laker baseball team won against Pulaski County at Laker field, final score of 6 to 4. Hunter Best was the winning pitcher for the Lakers, and Caleb Russell got the save. In girls softball, the Lady Lakers lost at home to Boyle County, final score of 13 to 7. Tuesday, the baseball team will be on the road at Boyle County, while the softball team will take on Casey County in Liberty.
