Baseball and Softball Have Full Week of Games

The state’s 21st ranked team, the Russell County Laker baseball team, has a full week of games scheduled beginning Monday.   The Lakers played three games over the past weekend, losing to Somerset Friday night, then losing in extra innings on Saturday to the state’s 5th ranked team from West Jessamine, before defeating Lincoln County 3 to 1 Saturday afternoon.   The Laker baseball squad is now 21 and 5 on the season.    They will be at home Monday afternoon to take on Pulaski County at 5pm, then on the road Tuesday afternoon at Boyle County, before returning home for games Thursday and Friday against Wayne County and Rockcastle County.

The Lady Laker softball team will be at home Monday afternoon for a game with Boyle County, before going on the road Tuesday and Thursday against Casey County and Barren County, then returning home on Friday against Campbellsville.
