Litigation over the wet-dry issue in Jamestown will continue. A notice of appeal was filed Friday seeking a reversal of a judge’s decision last week that set aside the election held on November 24th. Last week, special Circuit Judge Julia Adams ruled that an earlier decision in Russell Circuit Court was wrong and that the election was not proper, thus declaring the wet-dry election results null and void, A request by Jamestown resident Greg Shaw, a proponent of the sale of alcohol at restaurants in Jamestown, to join as a party to the lawsuit had earlier been granted by the Court. After the court’s ruling throwing out the election, Shaw has now filed an appeal with the Kentucky Court of Appeals.
