Whitfield Welcomes Lake Cumberland Area Development District Officials To Nation’s Capitol

“The Lake Cumberland Area Development District does a great job promoting economic growth and serving residents throughout the ten county Lake Cumberland region,” Whitfield said. “During tough economic times, organizations such as these are critical to our local communities and I am pleased to support them in any way I can.”

Whitfield met with Lake Cumberland ADD Executive Director Donna Diaz, Lake Cumberland ADD Community Development Specialist Waylon Wright, Pulaski County Judge Executive Barty Bullock, Campbellsville Mayor Brenda Allen, Albany Mayor John “Nicky” Smith and Executive Director of the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts Russell Harper.  The Lake Cumberland ADD serves the counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor and Wayne.  The organization is a quasi-governmental agency that works with city government, county government and special districts within the Lake Cumberland region to improve the quality of life for the region’s citizens.  Pictured from left to right are Community Development Specialist Wright, Judge Executive Bullock, Mayor Allen, Mayor Smith, Congressman Whitfield, Executive Director Diaz and Executive Director Harper.
