16th District Basketball Tournament Begins Monday

The 16th District basketball tournament gets underway Monday at Clinton County High School in Albany.    In the opening game, it will be the Clinton County Lady Dawgs, the #1 seed in the girls district, playing #4 seed Cumberland County at 6pm.    At 7:45 Monday night, the #1 seeded Russell County Laker boys will play Cumberland County.   On Tuesday night at 6pm, the Lady Lakers, seeded #2 in the girls district, will play Metcalfe County, to be followed by Clinton County and Metcalfe County boys.     The girls championship will be held Thursday night at 7pm, with the boys championship to be played Friday night at 7pm.   You can hear all the action of Laker and Lady Laker post season play on Laker Country, 104.9 FM, WJRS, beginning Monday night around 7:30.
