The Russell County Laker Boys and Lady Lakers closed out their 2009-2010 regular season Friday night by splitting a doubleheader at Allen County Scottsville. In the boys game, the Lakers relied on balanced scoring and unselfish play to easily defeat ACS, 72 to 57. Robbie Bell had 19 points, Zach Carney had 18, Bryson McFall had 14, and Adam Justice and Lucas Justice each had 8 points for the Lakers, who are now 19-3 on the season. The Lakers also had 15 assists to just 9 turnovers in the game. In the girls contest, the Lady Lakers jumped out early, led by nine midway thru second quarter and by five at halftime, but scored only one point in the third quarter and fell to ACS, 43 to 40. Lindsay Ramage had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Lee Ann Grider had 10 points for the Lady Lakers who are now 16-8 on the season.
