Laker Swimmers Compete In Regionals

The RCHS Swim Team traveled to Versailles this past Friday to compete in the Region 3 swim meet with 26 other teams.  Dustin Ballanger, Dakota Meece, Kerry Kingrey and Rachael Haynes qualified individually to return on Saturday. The Lakers had 6 relay teams qualify to return on Saturday and those members were Dustin Ballanger, Dakota Meece, Logan Smith, Cody Nolen, Coy Comer, Robbie Darnell. Kerry Kingrey , Bailey Henson, Taylor Grider, Andrea Roberts, Ciara Kimes, Rachael Haynes, Jordan Loy, and Becca Haynes.  Results for the Lakers were:
  • Women’s 400 medley relay 11th place
  • Women’s 200 free relay 10th place
  • Women’s 400 free relay 7th place
  • Men’s 200 medley relay 7th place
  • Men’s 200 free relay 7th place
  • Men’s 400 free relay 10th place

The Lady Laker swimmers placed 13th and the Laker swimmers placed 9th, combining for a 12th place finish overall.  Congratulations to the RCHS swim team and their coaches Lauren Wade and Debbie Loy.
