Lakers and Lady Lakers Travel Monday to Cumberland County

The Russell County Lakers and Lady Lakers will be on the road for a girl-boy district doubleheader Monday night at Cumberland County.   The Lady Lakers will play first at 6:00 p.m. followed by the boys contest.   The Lady Lakers are 11-7 on the season and defeated the Lady Panthers recently by 20 points.   The Laker boys are 13-2 and have clinched the top seed in the 16th district tournament.   The Lakers got by Cumberland County recently by 4 points in a tough contest.   Join John Burdette and Derek Aaron for Laker and Lady Laker basketball Monday, with pregame activities on Laker Country, 104.9 fm, WJRS getting underway around 5:50 p.m.
