Two Adults, Small Child Injured In Morning Wreck

Two adults and a small child were injured Saturday morning during a single vehicle wreck in Russell Springs.  RSPD Asst. Chief Jamie Rogers told WJRS NEWS the mishap occurred just after 9:00a.m. when Jessica Stargel, age 19, of Russell Springs, lost control a 2007 Chevy Impala while traveling westbound on Lakeway Drive, between Curves and Branscum Fruit Market.  According to Rogers, the vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the road, Stargel over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle which left the roadway and struck a tree.  Stargel and two passengers were injured….24 year old Sammy Luttrell of Russell Springs and Ray Lynn Dugger, 1 ½ years of age.  All three were transported by the Russell County EMS to the Russell County Hospital for treatment of “non-life threatening injuries”.
