Cut Tree Falls Onto, Kills Indiana Man

An Indiana man was killed Saturday afternoon when part of a tree fell on him while he and his son were cutting wood.  Russell County Coroner Larry Skaggs told WJRS NEWS the victim is Lewis Wayne Weston, age 70, of Anderson, IN.  According to Coroner Skaggs, Weston and his son were cutting wood on property their family owns off of Ky. 92 West on Jones-Loy Road, when a tree that was being cut fell into another tree, causing the top of the tree to snap and then fall onto Weston.  Skaggs pronounced Weston dead at the scene just before 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon.  His body will be returned to Indiana for funeral services later this week.
